Jakarta, the capital city of Indonesia. As a center for business, politics and culture, Jakarta so be called the busiest city in Indonesia. You can reach Jakarta by air from Soekarno-Hatta airport or Halim Perdanakusuma airport, by sea from Tj. Priok port, or land by Transjakarta, Commuter line, MRT, and another public transportation.

Jakarta basically has two seasons – wet and dry. Temperatures fluctuate little over the course of the year so the dry season is the best time to go sightseeing in the city.

Jun-Sept: As described, this is the dry season and typically the best time to go. You’ll be treated to clear skies and about 11-12 hours of sunlight everyday.

Oct-May: This is rainy season and not an ideal time to go.

With city tour bus you can visit any places in Jakarta. Last trip my friends and I took route number 1 from BNI 46 bus stop. This is the easiest bus stop to reach if you have commuterline because it is near Jakarta Kota station. Just walk from Jakarta Kota station to BNI 46 building. The bus stop is exactly in front of BNI 46 building. I recommend having a seat on the 2nd floor of the bus so we can enjoy the beautiful view of Jakarta.

We also can reach Monas (Monumen Nasional) by having this city route. There is a ticket office (Rp 5,000 for adults, Rp 2,000 for children) at the end of the tunnel. Tickets allow access to the National History Museum display of dioramas as well as several other parts of the area. Tickets for access to the observation desk cost another Rp 10,000 for adults and may be purchased at a second booth after passing through the hall showing the diorama display.
